INTRODUCTION

Mareblu  is a scuba dive simulator based on an Haldanian model.

It uses a 10 tissue model and graphically displays Nitrogen saturation and desaturation into the different tissues of the body during a simulated diving.

Mareblu can perform repetitive dives, track air consumption, and adjust simulation speed.

It uses metric/imperial units, and is designed for compressed air dives and sea level altitude dives (1 bar of air pressure) only

Recently, a more physical approach resulted in "bubble theories". These theories try to physically describe what is happening during decompression. Examples of these are the algorithms: RGBM (Reduced gradient bubbles model), VPM (Varying Permeability Model) ...(see bibliography).

Under this assumption  Mareblu is conceived as a teaching aid, to demonstrate the effects of different dive profiles on tissue nitrogen absorption.
